Charlotte Holt

Charlotte Holt is a multi-disciplinary artist, a part of studio collective DMZ Studios. Holt’s work focuses on art theory and practice: taking shape through curation & writing, and painting & sculpture. Holt’s critical practice aims to open conversations surrounding the critique of traditional gallery display styles, challenge the curatorial norms of the historic arts institution and display art in contextually relevant environments. Painting works explore the compositional elements of painting create a set discourse between what can or cannot be controlled, through form and colour. Sculptural works explore multi-sensory elements through playful materiality and juxtaposing emotion.
