About

I am a multidisciplinary environmental artist based in Manchester. Through my work, I navigate the porous boundary between the environment and humanity, aiming to spark awareness and instigate positive change. My creative inspiration springs from the palpable disconnect prevalent in contemporary society, compounded by a sense of eco-anxiety that leaves us feeling powerless in the face of impending catastrophe. Collaborating with musicians, researchers, and scientists is integral to my practice, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and expertise. I am a member of para-lab Manchester, an independent organisation that facilitates collaborations between artists and scientists. In my artistic process, I blend traditional materials with cutting-edge technologies, resulting in abstract forms that exist both in the physical realm and in the digital sphere. By employing an innovative online-offline approach, I create immersive experiences that challenge conventional modes of engagement. Leveraging Augmented Reality as a conduit, I invite viewers to interact with my work through their mobile devices, prompting a profound exploration of our relationship with the environment. In this dynamic exchange, the boundaries between artist and viewer blur, fostering a multiplicity of perspectives. By assuming the roles of both creator and observer, I aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with the natural world, inspiring meaningful dialogue and catalysing collective action.
